Does Ichthyosaurus (Ichthyosauria) work for I?

I'm afraid the Ichthyosaurs can't help us here. I'm looking for organisms that are often bred in laboratories for purposes of studying widely occurring biological phenomena. Ichthyosaurs are unfortunately not available for even field study.
